At OpenPass Asia, we delicate to the prosperity of ASEAN community through the creation a smart, seamless and sustainable mobility network named OpenPass in ASEAN region where people should be able to travel seamlessly with ease no matter where they are, what services they use, and who services them through the digital travel transactions, the integration of different public and private mobility services and the available electric vehicles.

The company is now looking to realize its mission by onboarding a General Manager for Singapore and Malaysia who, after the launch of the first cities in Singapore and Malaysia, will be given full responsibility for further developing the Singapore and Malaysia market for OpenPass, both by expanding to new cities in the region and by optimizing the performance of the first cities. In this way we can continue our mission and conquer the rest of ASEAN region.

The role

As OpenPass is growing both nationally and internationally we need multiple GM’s. As General Manager Singapore and Malaysia you will be involved in the launch of the first cities in Singapore and Malaysia. When the cities are live, you will be responsible for driving revenue, oversee day-to-day business and run the full P&L for Singapore and Malaysia while leading the young, talented team to success. In addition, the GM will be responsible for overall market performance and growth as well as building and strengthening the local team. The GMs’ team consists of the Business Development Team, the Customer Service Team,  the local HR, Finance and Marketing. For this role you will be based in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, and visit the different cities that we will open in Singapore and Malaysia.

The biggest challenge in this role is very clear: we want to grow very fast. And you will tell us with a clear vision and strategy how we will make that happen.

This position is based in our office in Singapore.

Requirements

Experience

• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in leading a team of local professionals, ideally in a scale up or similar requirement

• Our new GM has a proven track record to grow an ARR from $ 10+million to $ 50 million

• You are a passionate people manager who gets people involved in your story and strategy

• B.A/B.S in relevant fields preferred

• You have a passion for innovation and a great understanding of the changing mobility landscape

• Demonstrable leadership experience within a growing organization

• You are familiar with different cultures and have previously worked abroad

• You are a data-driven 'do-er'

• Strong stakeholder management skills, within different areas of expertise

Skills

• You have demonstrable experience in managing a P&L ( > $15 mln)

• You are a result-driven leader who gets everyone involved in his or her strategy plans

• You are able to convert strategic plans into concrete to do's

• An understanding of tech marketplaces (real-time) with a focus on supply and demand

• An clear understanding of the Singapore and Malaysian culture 

• Great communicator with the ability to build and motivate teams, work together with diverse groups across countries and a good understanding of external stakeholder management

• Fluent in English

• Self-motivated and the ability to learn new skills that enable you to grow quickly

• Strong organizational skills

• A data-driven nature and ability to balance attention-to-detail with swift execution
